The days that many movie fans have been waiting for all year has finally arrived, Star Wars is back in theatres! And with such massive hype and interest, can the series be revitalised, or has the Force been lost for good?
The first “Sinister” movie has become a favourite of mine in terms of modern Horror. The great concept, the genuinely emotional family story, casting choices and of course, the nightmare fuel that was the mini movies. it was a refreshing story in a bloated market of copycats. So, how does the sequel fare up?
Nostalgia is vintage these days, but with so many genres taking the step back in time it seemed odd that the Spy genre hadn’t done much so. But “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” is here to change that. So can it reignite our love for spy thrillers, or fall out of fashion?
Before making the choice to rent this movie today, simply so I could see for my own eyes what all the hatred was about, I has the feeling that I was going through some unnecessary pain just for a review. But, that’s part of the job – checking out the goo as well as the bad. And this firmly resides in the latter of those extremes.
You would have thought that after the brilliance that was “Troll Hunter”, that it would have caused an explosion of new content in the monster genre. But strangely that hasn’t been the case. But will “Monster Hunter” be the redeemer?
Marvel ended Phase Two by branching out to a very different superhero, and honestly, I was pretty anxious about this one. So, did this Phase end on a high not, or a whimper?
